This morning we did a ride down the Esplande into Cambride, Watertown and
Newton. Starbucks was a stop along the way, and why not? Then back down the
Charles to Memorial Drive and home!
Got my bike COMPUTER! Yeah! Cant wait to try it out. I also got a new seat, because if you saw my seat from behind...Grandma's ass could fit on that thing. I am a lean mean, Lance-ish machine and I need sleek seating styles to accomodate my riding. Or not. New seat kicks ass!

Today we went from our house through Chinatown, into Four Points Channel area,
over to Southie. Had lunch. Rode down through Southie to Castle Island. Went
on what has to be the loooooooooooooooooooooongest tour of Castle Island and
then back home again. Good solid ride.

With monsoon season coming to a close here in Boston, the weather is allowing
for some actual bike riding and with some frequency.
Jon and I have been hitting the streets (not in the 50-50 sucky-sucky kinda way) and have been packing on some miles, all the while trying to lose some inches. I cant believe the ride is in a month and some change. Seems like November when I started attending meetings for this thing, oh wait...
So, on average I have been riding to work 2 days a week.

What with the rain we are having in Boston these past couple weeks. Ugh. I
couldnt be more over it. Talk about Finding Nemo, find some dry land and a
life preserver much?
Training has been coming along slowly but surely. Since the last post, i have been on the bike morning and night, riding to work at least 2 times a week. Thats not that bad now!
Today, not so much because of the rain. Did i mention it rained? But yesterday I was on that damn bike!
Tuesday, June 10 - 17miles (with my headphones).
Oh and PS-I heard some biker went through the back window of an SUV last night on Comm. Ave. and severed some arteries in his neck. Dead. What? Oh hell no...
05.21.03
Didn't ride yesterday because of the Buffy finale. I will be hopping on that
bike though in about 35 minutes to head off to work. (17 miles)
05.19.03
After last weeks wash out (rained like every day), I was back on the bike
today for the trek to and from work. Let health week begin. Or is that hell
week? Damn fitness. Damn it to Hell! (17 miles)
05.10.03
Jon and I hit the trails, The Minuteman. Which is an amazingly peaceful ride
from Arlington to some town that starts with a B. Its 11 miles out and 11
back. It was a beautiful day and it was so nice and relaxing to just ride
without the threat of a car door opening and OOPS, KILLING ME.
05.09.03
Consider me the fair-weather rider. I dont get on that bike unless I know
there is no chance in hell that it will rain or possibly sprinkle on my beautiful
skin. Only rode one more day this week.
05.04.03
I'm running late, got a date with a Specialized Bike and Beacon Street to
Newton Centre.
04.30.03
Rode the bike to work twice this week. That's 8.5 miles each way. Uphill there,
downhill back (thank god).
04.06.03
I actually bought and rode a bike for the first time this year! Actually,
its the first time I've been on a bike since last years AIDS Ride. Oops.
06.12.03
I'm not sure, but i'm about 60% sure I was having an asthma attack this morning...while
WALKING. What am I? A 50 year old woman for christs sake?
06.11.03
No longer called "Running", this section is for other "Training"
types. Tonight i did me some Big Tit Billy Blanks TAE BO baby! What is with
that mans breasts? And the package swinging around in that ubertight onesy
is out of control (ooc).
05.03.03
I RAN TO CATCH THE TRAIN A COUPLE TIMES OVER THE WEEKEND!
04.16.03
My cousin Duane from Wisconsin was in town this week for the Boston Marathon.
He did a kickass job. I had not seen Duane is probably 13 years, but he and
his wife Mary looked exactly the same as I remembered them. Their kids were
awesome as well. Here's how Duane did in the marathon:
7213 Pickering, Duane T. Age: 44 Time: 3:24:13
I ran like a mother this morning too! Inspired by the Marathon, I ran the Southwest Corridor this morning. Its like 26 miles, er... maybe 1.5 soaking wet. I'm not sure, but I think that I have breathing problems. Face all Purple and wheezin'. Not pleasant.
Health Health Health!

Lets just say that I cant run around the block without almost passing out.
So, this is going to be an interesting journey.
I imagine that I run a little like Phoebe on "Friends" does. A little spastic, a little wild reckless, a little retarded. But, I am easing into it.
Walk: 5 min. Run: 5 min. Walk: 5 min. Run: 5 min.
