COMIC-CON Scoop All Weekend

Comic-ConI leave in a mere 5 hours for sunny San Diego where I’ll probably see no sun or feel no summer loving as I’ll be spending all of my time inside the San Diego Convention Center with 200,000 of my closest geek friends.

COMIC-CON 2007 begins tomorrow and I’m there all weekend with GMMR and some other TV Bloggers for the biggest group of television panels a fan could dream of.

Want LOST scoop? Heroes Spoilers? Supernatural Hotties? Battlestar’s Final Season Spoiler? The dish on new shows like Pushing Daisies, Chuck, Bionic Woman, Reaper, Moonlight, Journeyman, and many more? Want a podcast chock full of these goodies? Well, keep checking back all weekend as I’ll try and post some updates each night.

Want to follow me all day, Thursday through Sunday while I try and get Lee Pace naked? Follow me on TWITTER! There’s also a Twitter panel on the right hand sidebar. Check back for updates throughout the day, all day, all weekend!

While I’m gone, please head on over to my new site… DUCKY DOES TV! I’m in the midst of moving all posts there so that will be Ducky’s new home very very very soon! Let me know what you think. I love the new layout and I’m still working on all the content so bear with me.

May the force be with you or something dorky like that!

BATTLESTAR ‘Razor’/Adama Webisodes Announced

BATTLESTAR GALACTICA’s two hour Razor film will air November 24th (and be available on DVD shortly thereafter) on Sci-Fi. To help promote the Pegasus-centric film, Sci-Fi is airing shorts that are both Razor and Adama Family related. Not necessarily webisodes, these are reportedly scenes that were cut from the final edit of Razor.

According to SyFyPortal:

The network plans to air an eight-week series of shorts lasting between two and three minutes that will give fans some background on the original Cylon-Colonial War, featuring scenes of a young William “Husker” Adama as a Viper pilot, according to a press release by the network… According to the network, the telemovie will feature Apollo’s (Jamie Bamber) first days in command of the Pegasus, which took place chronologically in the show’s second season. It also stars Michelle Forbes, who reprises her role as Adm. Cain.

FRAK YEAH!

Duckyxdale GiveMeMyRemote Podcast

TV Podcast 11: Ducky and GMMR take a dip in the technical difficulties pool and come out swinging.

BIG BROTHER 8 has arrived and we’re obsessed. We talk spoilers, live feeds, and our favorites. What do we think about BURN NOTICE? PSYCH’s back on USA. KATHY GRIFFIN does gay porn and RESCUE ME forgets to rescue one of their own.

Do we need two karaoke shows? We dissect SPELLING BEE and DON’T FORGET THE LYRICS.

SO YOU THINK YOU CAN DANCE continues to dominate the summer and we talk about our new favorites.

A little TRANSFORMERS talk? Sure, just a bit. COMIC-CON? Yes, we’re now Comic-Con geeks and we preview our trip at the end of July. PUSHING DAISIES, MOONLIGHT, BIONIC WOMAN and other Fall Shows.

Ducky Does COMIC-CON

Comic-ConAs you’ve maybe heard me mention in one or two posts, I’m taking my first trip to San Diego’s COMIC-CON INTERNATIONAL in two weeks.

Comic-Con has moved beyond the manga lovin’, furry wearing, swoard bearing, trekkies you’re thinking about right now. It’s more than a comic book convention. It’s a sci-fi convention as well. That doesn’t make it sound any less geek central does it? It’s turning into a Sci-Fi/Horror/Fantasy Film and TV Convention as well. Sound better? I thought so.

As you know, I’m one of the people that runs The Independent Film Festival of Boston (shout out Nancy, Brian, and Christine who regularly read the blog and are my cohorts) and obviously you know I’m a big TV geek. The chance to see panel discussions, meet creators of film and tv shows I love, see sneak previews of films and tv shows I love is just too big. I must go!

GMMR and I are shacking up in San Diego for the week and we’ll be meeting up with Rae, The TV Addict, Seat42f and many other tv bloggers (as well as 250,000 of our closest and scariest friends) to cover all things fall tv! We’re also hoping to do a huge TV Bloggers Podcast or two!

What shows are gonna be there? The list is big and here are the ones I plan on attending in some capacity.

TORCHWOOD (BBC America’s spin-off of Doctor Who)
LOST
REAPER
MOONLIGHT
24
CHUCK
PUSHING DAISIES
BIONIC WOMAN
TVGuide’s Hot List and Super Women
HEROES
KYLE XY
BATTLESTAR GALACTICA
SUPERNATURAL
SARAH CONNOR CHRONICLES
SARAH SILVERMAN PROJECT
BUFFY’s 10th Anniversary
TIN MAN
The 4400
JERICHO

Granted some of these panels overlap so there will be a few that get missed but TV wise, this is my dream list. There are also a number of film events that I want to attend.

Paramount Studios Presentation, Lionsgate Presentation, FANBOYS (with Kristin Bell), Warner Bros Films, 20th Century Fox, Shoot Em Up, Rob Zombie’s HALLOWEEN!!!!!, Rogue/Focus films, The Incredible Hulk with Ed Norton and many more.

Kinda crazy, huh?

Are any of you guys going? What do you want me to find out or meet or see while I’m there? Let me know.

Katee Sackhoff on Bionic Woman and BSG: Double Duty

Katee Sackhoff

At this week’s Sci-Fi Channel Battlestar Galactica “All Access Event”, the big draw seems to be the smokin’ hot Katee Sackhoff. Bionic Woman is one of the most talked about shows for the Fall over on NBC and with Battlestar announcing their last season NBC/Universal is carting Sackhoff out like the second coming of Girl Christ that kicks a lot of ass and can fly a raptor if needed?

Here is a quick video of Katee Sackhoff from the Battlestar Galactica “All Access Event” where she talks about Bionic Woman.

When asked about being on two shows at once she exclaimed “Holy shit I’m gonna be tired.” She reveals that Battlestar Galactica and Bionic Woman are shooting on the same lot and that there’s talk of getting her her very own suped up golf cart to travel around from stage to stage on.

Yes she will be filming both at the same time and she would only confirm that she’s on more than one episode but less than fifteen episodes because they were only picked up for thirteen.

Sneaky Starbuck/Sarah Covus.

Battlestar Galactica “All Access Event” Pictures

Last night in Los Angeles, Sci Fi Channel had an All Access Event with the cast and creators of the frakkin’ amazing Battlestar Galactica. Katee Sackhoff, Jamie Bamber, Edward James Olmos, Mary McDonnell, creators Ron Moore and David Eick among others were there. The event was hosted by the deceased Cylon D’Anna aka Lucy Lawless.

The anticipation for Bionic Woman on NBC this fall has me obsessed with Katee Sackhoff as she guest stars. Click here to read my thoughts on the Bionic Woman pilot.

Here are pictures of Katee Sackhoff:

    Battlestar Galactica Sets End Date

    Battlestar Galactica Six Baltar
Battlestar Galactica’s Fourth Season Will Be Its Last…

It’s frakkin’ official folks, Battlestar Galactica will have its series finale in 2008. With only 22 episodes left, BSG will have to reintroduce Starbuck (back from the unknown), settle their political strife, reveal the Big Bad Cylon leader, and find Earth. It’s a lot to jam into 22 episodes but I have faith in Ron Moore and David Eick.

Remember that we will get a two hour movie in November called “Razor” and come September we can catch Katee Sackhoff in Eick’s newest show The Bionic Woman.

Interested in what the creators have to say about why they’re ending? Here’s the quote from TVGuide.

“This show was always meant to have a beginning, a middle and finally, an end,” the duo said in a statement. “Over the course of the last year, the story and the characters have been moving strongly toward that end and we’ve decided to listen to those internal voices and conclude the show on our own terms. And while we know our fans will be saddened to know the end is coming, they should brace themselves for a wild ride getting there — we’re going out with a bang.”

    A tear…

    Jake 2.0 on Sci-Fi Fridays

Jake 2.0Tonight Harrison John, Joe, er Jake 2.0, er Popita Fresh’s Husband… no?  Christopher Gorham (recently added to the Ugly Betty cast as hunky Clark Kent-ish nerd Henry) and his canceled too soon show Jake 2.0 hits Sci-Fri Fridays tonight at 8pm (in Doctor Who’s place).

If you didn’t already love Gorham from Popular you will after watching him in Jake 2.0 as a computer geek that gets computer enhanced super powers.  Sure it sounds done before but it’s done before and redone here really well.  Here, he can control technology with his brain and becomes a special agent for the NSA.

Buffy/Angel alum David Greenwalt wrote and directed a chunk of the 12 episodes that aired (16 in total on dvd) so it has that going for it as well!

    Just watch.
